Hey Everyone,

Well time has flown by these past several months! Landon and I, along with two others, will be off to Haiti this Saturday! We will be there for two weeks and once we return it will only be two months until our wedding! :-) As life starts to get crazy (as if it wasn't already) we would just ask for prayers of peace and hearts of servants throughout the adventures this summer. I don't think that we will be able to blog while we are in Haiti, but we definitely will after! Thank you all for your prayers and support so far, God has blessed us tremendously. Please keep us in your prayers and we will be praying for you all as well!

Overjoyed :)

Landon and I have been overwhelmed with God's blessings and the way that He has been working in our lives.

Two years ago when I first stepped onto Haitian turf I had a goal and vision for the people and the country. More than anything I wanted to help others take interest in Haiti and desire to fulfill the needs that are there. Haiti is an unknown, dark place that is slowly dying. Many people are giving up on themselves and their abilities. Thankfully, those who went with me last summer began to have their own goals for Haiti.

Yesterday, the four of us who are going to Haiti were given the opportunity to speak in LCU's chapel and we had a large response! (If you want to listen online, go to www.lcu.edu then go to current students, spiritual life, then to chapel podcasts)

Landon and I are so excited about what God is doing in this ministry and cannot wait to see where He leads the people of Haiti. We will be sure to keep you all updated!


Also, just four months from today and we will be getting married! This engagement period has been such a blessing, learning process, and a time of growing for which we are very thankful.

Haiti

Hey everyone,

Most of you know that last summer, Landon and I had the opportunity to take a small group of people to Haiti. My grandma is a missionary in Haiti and we were able to help her out for a week. The past 5 months or so have been very difficult for grandma Sue. She had to leave the place she was at, close down her children's home, and go into hiding. We were able to communicate with her, but she was not able to tell us her exact location for a few months. God has surely taken care of her and kept her safe. Grandma Sue did have plans to come home to the States for good but I have recently found out that God has something else in mind for her. She is now safe and in a much better place. She is now north of Port-au-prince and just recently bought a house. Since she is in a safer place, Landon and I have been praying about the opportunity to go back and help her get started with her new ministry and help her get settled. We talked to grandma Sue today and found out that we will be able to go! We are very excited and blessed by this opportunity and will be going with two other friends. Our friends, Chad and Whitney, went to Haiti with us last summer and have been praying about the opportunity to go back as well. We would just ask for all of your prayers as we prepare to head out on this adventure and pray that God will use us to bless the people of Haiti as well as my grandma. We will be going to Haiti the first two weeks in May. I will keep you all updated as we find out more information. All the glory to our Lord!
